Gone Home

Lekei, Tyler William
Born February 25, 1984
Tyler passed away last week, due to illness.  He was 23 years old.

Ty was born in Burnaby and spent his entire short life in North Delta, going to Devon Gardens Elementary, Delview Jr. Secondary and North Delta Sr. Secondary Schools.  He was active in the 21st Surdel Scouting Group, moving through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers.

He loved the outdoors and would have loved to be a "hermit in the hills".  His other interests ranged from music and art to philosophy and religion.  He was a gentle soul with a creative flair that intrigued friends and family alike.  He leaves a vacant hole in the lives of his family and those friends that have been with him throughout his illness.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jean and Craig Macdonald, his father, Don, his sisters Andrea (Nathan) and Stefanie (James),  A.J. MacFarlane, step-sister, Holly Macdonald and Step-brother and best friend Ken Macdonald. Also survived by Grandparents, Ed and Alma Lekei, and extended family throughout the lower mainland and Okanagan regions.

A "Scout's Own" service will be held at Watershed Park (on the plateau), June 12 , 2007 at 2 PM to celebrate Tyler's life.  Fellowship and refreshments to follow in the park...  Internment at a later date.
