In honor of who Tyler was and his love for Scouting and outdoor activities, we will be having an outdoor event in the Scouting tradition called a "Scout's Own" at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 in Watershed Park. Enter by the school at Pinewood Drive and Briarwood Crescent. The path will be clearly marked. Wear comfortable walking shoes and casual, weather-apropriate clothes. What is a Scouts Own? For those of you who are unfamiliar to a Scouts Own, it is an inspirational ceremony. A “Scouts Own” is usually built around a central theme, such as friendship, world peace, save the earth, or appreciation of the world and people around us. Any topic consistent with the principles and program goals of Scouting is appropriate. The intent is generally serious and usually reflective. This Scouts Own is a Celebration of the life of Tyler William Lekei. Tyler has always enjoyed this park so it seemed like the perfect place for his celebration.
